Led by BCTA Approved Teacher Margaret Rosenau, this group supervision is for RCSTs or BCSTs, so that the space we hold together has shared skills and knowledge. The format is based on the somatic supervision structure developed by Ray Castellino (1944-2020). In this structure, each participant will take at least two 20-30 minute turns over the course of the four supervision sessions. During a turn, a participant is supported to recognize and discover new layers of support, agency and understanding about the intention / issue they bring forward. A participant’s turn time can be used to explore clients, challenges with an aspect of being a BCST practitioner or more personal material. Ray Castellino was steadfast in his clarity that anything we are needing supervision for touches us deeply, often in places that are undifferentiated or familiar from previous challenges.
Margaret will reach out prior to the first session to ask everyone in the group to consider who is ready to take turns in the first segment. Before each session, people planning on taking a turn are asked to prepare an intention for their turn and send this intention to Margaret 48 hours before the session.
When it is not their turn, participants will deepen their skills of orienting to midline and ground, being present to another’s story and noticing what arises in them. There will be time at the end of each turn, for all the witnessing group members to share something about what moved them / resonated with them during the turn.
Each supervision group is limited to 6 and can count towards BCTA supervision requirements.
SPRING/SUMMER 2025 – 3/11/25, 4/15/25, 5/20/25, 6/24/25 – 5-7pm Mountain Time
FALL/WINTER 2025/2026 – 10/7/25, 11/18/25, 12/16/25, 1/13/26 – 5-7pm Mountain Time
Each session meets for 2 hours. Total cost for 4 sessions is $400. Participants are asked to commit to attending all four sessions.
Sessions take place on Zoom and may or may not be recorded, depending on group and/or individual preferences.
